About St. Albans
The St. Albans Community Living Center, part of the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, is a Nursing Home and Domiciliary located on a 55 acre campus which provides long and short term skilled nursing and rehabilitation, primary care, specialized geriatric programs and restorative rehabilitation. Our outpatient Adult Day Health Care Program and Home Based Primary Care Program care for physically disabled, medically-complicated elderly veterans who are at risk of nursing home placement or recurrent hospitalization. A rehabilitation Domiciliary program provides therapy, vocational counseling and living skills training for patients seeking to return to independent living. VHA Enters Second Life The Veterans Health Administration has entered the Second Life 3-D online virtual world to provide veterans with another means of accessing important health and benefits information.
